Kim Gordon’s Black and Red Masquerade Ball
A glamorous music and dance party set in a magical Venetian carnival
Much-loved vocalist Kim Gordon celebrates her 20th musical production in this exciting return to the Key West Theater with her All-Star band led by Grammy-winner Tim Mayer on sax. Dance to your favorite songs or relax at your table and enjoy the music. From swing, pop, jazz and standards to blues and R&B, Kim and the extraordinary band will make this a night to remember. And it’s all to feed our kids! Proceeds from this big, glam party will fund backpacks filled with after-school meals this summer for our most in-need local children. Book your VIP premium seats in front of the stage and around the dance floor to enjoy complimentary champagne and decadent desserts served at your table. Or nibble on the special sweet treats you’ll find at your favorite Standard seats. Stand out at the Black and Red Masquerade Ball in your sharpest black tie, masquerade costume, or Keys formal. And win Prizes for the Best Mask and Best Ensemble. Join the party of the season and meet the urgent need to feed our neighborhood kids this summer. Last year 74% of all public-school children in Key West alone qualified for meal support. Kim founded Music With Heart Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, some years ago in her continuing effort to help those in need in our community. Every $1000 raised will feed 75 local kids a week of nutritious dinners and weekend snacks prepared by the S.O.S Foundation. Want to help even more? Sponsor or donate through the event fund at https://cffk.org/feedourkids This Music With Heart event is produced in partnership with the Community Foundation of the Florida Keys and the Key West Woman’s Club, with the proceeds benefiting the S.O.S. Foundation. With your help, we won’t let our kids go hungry this summer. Visit www.KeysMusicWithHeart.com for more information. Artist Bio: Solo artist Kim Gordon is delighted to return on March 14 to host and perform in her newest creation, the Black and Red Masquerade Ball. This is the 20th musical or concert event she has produced in Key West, adding to a total of nearly 60 show and concert performances here on every major stage including the Waterfront Playhouse, the Tennessee Williams Theater, the Red Barn Theatre and the Studios of Key West. She has been happy to call The Key West Theater her musical home since 2016. A classically trained singer with a three-octave range, Kim seduces audiences with an angelic, bell-like soprano one moment and a lusty, rich cabaret style the next. Kim can dazzle in arias, but her primary passion and first love was musical theater where she got her first on-stage role at age 4. And she continues to perform the great American songbook, jazz, standards, pop, Broadway and cabaret in concerts today. A dedicated philanthropist, Kim’s productions and other fundraising campaigns over the past 22 years have raised significant funds to help people in need here in the Keys. From fighting hunger and homelessness to helping cancer patients and rebuilding homes, Kim’s fundraising efforts have touched countless lives.
