Nina Newton and Ariel: Nina Nomyekelo Newton was born in Key West to Toko Irie legendary Grenadian steeldrummer and Diana Dahl from Northern California. Nina was raised on a boat while homeschooling most of the time, along with her siblings and close friends, growing up, they would regularly perform around bonfires on Xmas tree island with very creative people. Nina and her little sister got the opportunity to start performing on stage with their father. Nina's younger brother Aaron and Ian both started adding drums to the mix and now along with sister Naomi you can find The Newtons playing your favorite clubs in Key West! Enjoy the music magic as Nina, and Ariel present the original work of Nina this evening. Turner and Rochi Harrison: Turner and Rochi Harrison met a few years before they actually got together. Their love of music was the kindling of what would become a powerful flame, bringing them together not only as life partners, but as songwriters as well. In this debut songwriter session, they will showcase their duets as well as a few they wrote individually. Turner grew up in Nashville, but lived 18 years abroad from age 16, and Rochi is from Argentina and has lived around the world as well. Expect to hear traces of folk, americana, reggae, Latin, and rock influenced acoustic grooves laced with thoughtful lyrics stemming from their extensive travels and passionate pasts!
