The compositions of Larry Smith have been heard on network television, cable television (Discovery, MTV, History, Food, etc), radio stations throughout the world as a Columbia recording artist, movies and film documentaries, and live performances here, there, and everywhere. His work is enjoyed locally by appreciative audiences at his weekly Monday Jazz Jams at the Little Room Jazz Club. His compositions are performed by The Paradise Big Band at their bi-annual concerts at TWAC. Most recently, Larry provided the soundtrack for Tim Dahms’ acclaimed documentary “Out of the Closet” that has been playing to capacity crowds at the Tropic Cinema.

Larry’s quartet includes his longtime musical collaborators:
Joe Dallas: Sugarloaf Elementary music teacher, and musical director of the Paradise Big Band
Tim Mayer: virtuoso saxophonist, arranger, composer, and a member of various Larry Smith bands and CD recordings
Skipper Kripitz: longtime artistic collaborator on Larry Smith recordings and live performances

Because of the huge wealth of material, Channing and Larry have decided that to best serve the music, they will hold a second concert in the near future that will concentrate mostly on music composed by Channing.
